Innovation

The planning committee has identified numerous opportunities for infusing the innovation theme into conference activities.

Workshop Sessions

  • Innovation Briefing: These 5-8 minute presentations are designed to act like TED Talks, that is, a brief snapshot of an issue or solution around the engaged campus theme.
  • Innovation Workshop: The sessions can be up to 75 minutes long, should be interactive and should be presented in an innovative manner. Take a traditional conference workshop and shake it up – you set the boundaries!
  • Innovation Roundtable: These problem-solving sessions are designed to have a facilitator pose a question or questions around the engaged campus and innovation themes. Participants will come to the roundtable expecting a dialogue and information sharing, rather than a formal presentation. Your job is to bring the question and other resources that can inform the outcome.

Conference Costs & Travel

Conference registration fee for the 3-Day conference is $300.  There will be no discount for presenters.  The Dearborn Inn has given us a fantastic rate of $121/night in the historic hotel.  This rate can apply to days prior and after the conference if participants wish to extend their stay.  Participants from other states wishing to fly into Michigan should use Detroit Metro Airport (DTW). Rental car or taxi cab are the best options for getting to Dearborn. Those driving to the conference have access to parking on-site for free.
