Change Agents: Deck the Windows

Over the past year, MACC and Boston Centers for Youth and families have partnered to develop programming that utilizes Boston’s College students as community service mentors for youth in BCYF centers. The Change Agent program aims to get young people from the Tobin and Cleveland community centers engaged in their communities to realize that they can be agents of change.

The youth identified that they wanted to help beautify their neighborhoods of Mission Hill and Fields Corner, Dorchester. Therefore, in November, the Change Agents participated in their first service program through Boston’s Main Streets called Deck the Windows.

The Change agents at the Tobin Community Center, along with their Service Mentors from Boston University and Northeastern University decorated the windows of Green Realty located at 1542 Tremont Street, Boston, MA. The Change Agents and Service Mentors designed and decorated the windows with a holiday theme. Check out picture from the service project:

The Change Agents at the Cleveland Community Center, along with their Service Mentors from BunkerHill Community College and UMASS Boston decorated the windows of Executive Cleaners at 514 Geneva Ave, Dorchester, MA. Like the Tobin Change Agents, the Cleveland Change Agents designed and decorated the windows with a holiday theme. Check out the pictures from the Cleveland Service Project.
