BCC Creates Exhibits, Programming for Children’s Museum

When the Children’s Museum of Greater Fall River recently opened its doors to the general public, it presented an excellent opportunity to establish service partnerships for a variety of classes at Bristol Community College (BCC). Students and faculty at the college have taken advantage of the opportunity, creating visual exhibits and educational programs for the museum.

As part of their coursework, students enrolled in Art Studio courses created several exhibits for the museum’s new permanent home. Meanwhile, Early Childhood Education students had the opportunity to work directly with children through various forms of programming at the museum. As the museum continues to grow and evolve, BCC faculty and students will continue to help create imaginative spaces and events for children to participate.
