Beyond Service and Service-Learning: Campus Compact Regional Event

Campus Compact Regional Event
University of Connecticut – Storrs Campus

Monday, May 19, 2014
9:30 am – 2:30 pm

Please join Campus Compact for a luncheon and symposium to honor the 2013 Campus Compact Ehrlich Award Winner: Dr. Richard Battistoni, Professor of Political Science at Providence College.

The Ehrlich Award is given annually to recognize one senior faculty member for exemplary leadership in advancing students’ civic learning, supporting community engagement, and contributing to the public good. Since 1989, every course taught by Dr. Battistoni has incorporated a major civic or community engagement component in the form of a significant community-based service or research project, a community organizing effort, or a civic action or reflection commitment.

The Program

The summit will include active roundtable discussions, facilitated dialogue by regional experts, and resources from Campus Compact.
